Caring for your Dome
A helpful guide to ensure your handmade dome art stays beautiful for years to come.
The domes are NOT snow globes! Please note that this piece is not designed to be tipped upside down and shaken. While all pieces are firmly glued in place, any mistreatment of your piece may result in its destruction.
Although every effort has been made to thoroughly fumigate your piece, occasionally tiny little critters called book lice can appear. This is sort of like how little bugs appear in your light bulbs at home and you cannot figure for the life of you how they got in there. If you happen to notice book lice in your dome (they are tiny grey critters about a third of the size of an ant), then place the dome in the freezer for 24 hours, which kills the lice.

Please do not place your dome in direct sunlight. Although insects love the sun when alive, they do not like it as a specimen. What will happen if you place the dome in direct sunlight is that the colours will start to fade from your specimen.
Please be aware that the dome is made from glass. This makes it a potential hazard for children and pets. Please keep the dome out of reach of little fingers and paws.
To clean your dome, treat it exactly as you would your windows or mirrors at home. This means you can dust it, wipe it down with a cloth and use Windex or a similar product to clean the glass.
